On April 4th, Arte Vilnius hosted the opening of a group exhibition – "Midlife Crisis".
Featuring works by Andrey Adno, Sasha Kru, Max Kostenko, Marta Žuravskaja, Anastasia Korotkova, and Sergey Shikurov, this exhibition is a journey into the psychological depths of midlife.

In this collective exhibition, artists navigate their own crises, transforming personal turmoil into powerful visual expressions. The artworks presented here are not mere representations but raw emotional landscapes—manifestations of doubt, nostalgia, rebellion, and revelation. Through painting, sculpture, digital media, and an immersive interactive installation, these creators lay bare their anxieties, fears, and, ultimately, their catharsis.
At the turning point between youth and old age, a deep and often unsettling reckoning takes place. This is the midlife crisis—an intersection of reflection, resistance, and reinvention. It is both a social construct and a biological reality, a moment when the weight of experience meets the uncertainty of what remains ahead.

The evening featured a DJ set by Kukumpel Kollektiv (Sofiiako and SPRLZNSS), creating an emotional backdrop for reflection and introspection. The event took place in our Arte Freedom Room, which infused the night with a uniquely creative atmosphere.

And the event was supported with a light installation by Denis Bykovskiy, inviting visitors to engage directly with the theme.

Midlife Crisis is not an end—it is a passage. It is the confrontation with oneself, the breaking down of old identities, and the creation of new ones. Step in, reflect, and perhaps recognize a part of yourself within these works.
